Dear family member/resident representative,
I am writing to provide an update about the COVID-19 cases at your loved one’s aged care centre.
Since writing to you last week, we have had no additional positive cases of COVID-19 within the aged care centre. We continue to care for one resident in their room of in the Evans wing who had previously tested positive and is experiencing mild symptoms.
Pleasingly, two residents who had also previously tested positive are once again enjoying their daily routines within their communities.
We will continue our routine testing regime with the next round of rapid antigen testing taking place on Thursday 3 August. If your loved one returns a positive result as part of the testing regime, we will let you know by phone and provide you with a daily update regarding their progress.
Visiting arrangements
Until the outbreak is resolved, and the risk of infection reduced, all visitors including residents from Shoalhaven Court, Banksia and Waratah are discouraged from entering the Evans wing
If you do wish to proceed with your visit you must comply with the requirements to wear additional PPE including face shield and N95 mask (which may be a challenge for small children; details of which are outlined below:
All other visiting arrangements, including the requirement to provide proof of a negative rapid antigen test result on arrival, continue to apply. You can find more information about our visiting arrangements on our website here.
Please pass this message on to others as you consider appropriate and if you have any questions please contact your Care Manager.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
Matt Coventry
