What is the Australian Aged Care Job Ready Program?

The program has been developed to get you job ready. You’ll be taken through an Industry Fit Assessment and develop a range of core skills required in key roles within the aged care sector. Successful candidates will be connected with hiring employers.

Industry Fit Assessment

All applicants will undertake an online culture/industry fit assessment, phone screen and reference check in order to gain entry into the Aged Care Boot Camp.

Aged Care Boot Camp

Successful candidates will be enrolled  into a three day Aged Care Boot Camp which aims to familiarise candidates with the key roles and skill sets needed to succeed in the aged care sector.

Aged Care Boot Camp

Successful candidates who pass our Industry Fit Assessment will be enrolled into a three day Aged Care Boot Camp. You will engage in daily virtual sessions, hear from industry experts about a day in the life of an aged care worker and the aged care sector, complete daily online modules on various topics, plus have access to an open forum where you can ask questions and connect with others

On completion of the Aged Care Boot Camp, you will have the opportunity to be connected with hiring employers.

Working with older Australians can be an equally challenging and fantastically rewarding career choice.  The Job Ready Program aims to familiarise candidates with the key roles and skill sets in the following career choices:

  • Aged Care: Aged care employees provide personal, physical and emotional support and care to our residents who require assistance with daily living in our aged care centres.
  • Home Care: Home care employees help customers live their best life at home by providing a range of services like cleaning, transport, meal preparation and personal care.
