Purpose-built community

Your new home in an IRT retirement village has been purpose-built for you:

We carefully select the best location to enhance your lifestyle

The community is designed by architects and purpose built to the highest Australian standards

We work with you to maintain your home

Pets are welcome at some communities

Personalised finishing touches make your IRT retirement village your home.

Location

If you want to downsize your house and upsize your lifestyle, then an IRT retirement village is the place to be. We carefully select the location of our independent living communities to meet your needs:

Walking distance to transport, shops, entertainment and amenities

Tranquil, private settings near beaches, golf courses, parks and bushland

Quiet spaces for privacy, as well as onsite community facilities, like cafes, pools and halls.

Design and Construction

The design and construction process is different for each site, but our principles remain the same:

Quality materials built to Australian standards

Appliances from trusted brands

Landscaping that’s practical and beautiful

Community facilities built and styled to perfection.

Our retirement villages are purposefully designed to optimise their unique location. Your wellbeing, safety and enjoyment are always front of mind:

Villas and apartments enable indoor-outdoor living and accommodate hobbies and guests

Building placement and features optimise natural heating and cooling

Private and shared spaces make entertaining a breeze

Walkways make it easy to get around

On site security provides peace of mind

Universal design caters for aids and in-home support, should your needs change.

Maintenance

We work with you to maintain your home:

Dedicated maintenance and gardening staff on call when you need them

Help with day-to-day activities, like replacing light bulbs

Landscaping, painting and upgrading of community amenities.

Research shows that people who live in retirement villages feel well and live independently for longer. Our maintenance team will ensure your home stays looking good for longer, just like you.

Pets

We understand your pet is a member of your family.

That’s why some IRT retirement villages are pet-friendly. In some of these communities, small dogs and cats are welcome in your home.

Personalisation

It’s the finishing touches that really make an IRT retirement village uniquely yours:

A range of colour schemes and finishes offered

Style your villa or apartment to suite your taste

Create a courtyard or balcony garden.

Once you’re settled in your new home, it’s time to enjoy everything that independent living in an IRT retirement village has to offer.

Making the most of your community

Independent living is all about choice. Your Retirement Village Manager will help you to curate your new lifestyle. Make new friends, take up a hobby or simply relax in the community grounds. The choice is yours.

Start something new!

It’s your community, so make your mark. If you’ve got an idea for a new activity or event, your Retirement Village Manager is on hand to help you get started. Whether it’s booking transport or printing a flyer, they’re here to help.

Extra support, if you need it

If you get injured or fall ill, your Retirement Village Manager can help. It’s nice to know you’ve got someone to call on if your needs change. They can tee up temporary services like cleaning, personal care, transport and meal delivery. It’s all part of living in an IRT retirement village.
