Frequently asked questions

For those studying in a classroom environment you will be expected to devote approximately 3 hours of home study per week, plus 5 hours per assessment, in addition to your class/session attendance. An online learning resource and assessment pack will be provided and pre-reading is essential before attending classes.

This course would be best suited to those who are developing into their first/early career supervisory/management position. It would be expected students have the learning opportunity to provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.

Classroom delivery – one day per fortnight up to a 12 month period with a mixture of virtual and face to face classes held at IRT Academy in Wollongong.

Unfortunately not. All students seeking work will have to follow the normal procedures in regards to applying and interviewing for a position.

You will be assessed in a number of ways. These methods may include:

  • Written questions / research exercises / case studies / projects
  • Observation in the classroom in a simulated environment

  • Observation in the workplace
  • Role-plays
